-------- OR --------

We started our farm adventure at our 21 acre North Carolina farm in 2013. We have been driven to help people to become more self sufficient and provide food and everyday things for themselves and their families.

We know that good quality affordable food and everyday items are getting harder to find and knowing exactly what your family consumes is a great feeling. Vegetable gardening and growing mushrooms can be enjoyed by farmers and apartment tenants alike.

Everyone might not be able to legally keep hens for eggs but anyone can make their own homemade vinegar or wine, fresh sprouts for salads and stir frying and grow veggies and herbs in pots.

We moved to our farm in North Carolina from our tiny yard in Lakewood, Ohio. Even though we barely had any grass or property and it was a busy urban area, we grew our own veggies in our front yard and grew mushrooms in containers in our basement. It was wonderful to eat fresh salad all year long and have mushrooms to pick sometimes even twice a day! Even though stores are walking distance most everywhere in the city, quality and budgeting were discouraging at times.

Now we live away from stores and we are glad that we have always had a cold frame and at least a tiny garden and fresh mushrooms.  We are able to grow a lot of our food now and we enjoy that we can now provide products for other people to grow food and make things for their families too.

We aim to offer some plants, seeds, mushroom kits and some gift shop items so you can have fun and maybe even start your own homestead... where ever you may be in life.
